What a great Sunday of worship and praise here in Antigua. I am going to bed this evening with such a sense of spiritual refreshment.
This morning, we were able to minister at Galilean Baptist Church. It is a church that I had never been to before with our different teams. You could tell that the people had a genuine love and excitement for the Lord and for the work that He did for us on the cross for salvation. It was exciting and rebuking to see a church full of people singing with such enthusiasm. It made me stop and realize that I serve the same great God and I need to be as excited!
We were able to help in all of the Sunday School classes. The team broke up and went with each class and were able to interact with all of the different age groups. In the main service, there were several special numbers and Luke preached the sermon. The pastor at the church was very excited to let "a young preacher boy" get the opportunity to share the Word. Luke did a great job!
Cameron Smith said that he earned a crown in Heaven for his special job today. He was appointed to keep my Livi Joy awake and happy on the 40 minute car ride home. He really did do a great job - and I got such amusement out of listening to all of his songs and games!
This afternoon the team cleaned up around the mission houses and took naps. The heat in the morning service seemed to take a toll on many of them.
This evening we had a time of singspiration and testimonies here at the house. It was such a great time of worship. We sang for about an hour straight and then many team members talked about what the Lord has been teaching them and what He has been working on in their lives. I know many parents would have loved to have been here and heard what was on their hearts.
It was an earlier bed time for many on the team. The boys and Janice and Bethany Williams start a project at the AM tower tomorrow at 5:30 in the morning. It is supposed to take them about 10 hours to do. We are praying for a cooler day and lots of good breezes.
We are ready to start a full week of work here tomorrow. Thank you for your continued prayers!
